Human Factors Analyst Intermediate I (ref# R004)

We are currently looking for Human Factors Analyst Intermediate I to provide the FAA with the Human Factors Support at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey area (zipcode 08234).

Description:

Candidates must perform human factors engineering functions, applying knowledge of human capabilities and limitations to the design, development, implementation, and acquisition of processes, concepts, systems, and work environments with the aim of improving performance, usability, and safety. Tasks may include: literature reviews; computer human interface (CHI) analyses; requirements definition and evaluation; cognitive walkthroughs; heuristic evaluations; usability evaluations; part-task evaluations; measurement of situational awareness, workload and performance; human-in-the-loop studies; ergonomics evaluations; and kinematics research.

The following qualifications are required for the Human Factors Analyst Intermediate I position:

  • Qualified candidates must possess, at a minimum, a Master's Degree in cognitive, social, applied or experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, perception, human factors, ergonomics, or industrial engineering from a fully accredited college or university and 3 years of relevant experience. Qualified candidates must possess experience in applied statistical analysis, experimental design, and must have excellent verbal and technical writing skills. Technical writing skills can be evidenced by a history of publications.
